Circadian clock research has accelerated rapidly since the discovery of clock genes that are responsible for circadian rhythms. However, much less is known about the interaction between the central clock in the brain, and other peripheral clocks and whether the central oscillator is responsible for maintaining synchrony of other clocks.

The focus of my master thesis lies in the investigation of the endocrine signaling between central and peripheral circadian cocks along with different peripheral clocks.
